Let's Talk About the Money
Live Cartoon Portraits’ unique entertainment service is real value-for-money. Whether it's a wedding or a corporate event, the rates are the same for both. A quote will give you an accurate picture of the total cost.
An EFT is the preferred payment method and quote or invoice serial numbers are used as references. There isn't a formal contract, but the terms and conditions as well as the clear descriptions for every billed item listed on quotations and invoices act as our agreement.
It's Affordable
Standard Pricing Plan
There are 3 basic pricing items for either weddings or corporate events, as follows:

Sketch Rate: The sketch rate differs according to the number of booking hours. A minimum booking duration is 1 hour.

- A 1 hour booking is R1700.
- A 1,5 - 2 hour booking - a sketch rate of R1300 per hour.
- A 2,5 - 3 hour booking - a sketch rate of R1100 per hour.
- A 3,5 hour booking or longer - a sketch rate of R990 per hour.

Material Cost: R100 per hour for materials like charcoal, paper, and plastic sleeves.

Road travel Cost: R7.00 per kilometre, with discounts available based on distance travelled. For venues located 125 km or more from our base in Johannesburg South, the client is required to cover one night's accommodation for the artist. If a return flight is required, the client covers associated costs (terms and conditions apply). Please contact us for more information.

Wedding Packages
Two distinct packages are available: Canapé Activation and Duo Activation. The Canapé Activation is for 1 to 2,5 hours during the canapé period, while the Duo Activation includes both canapé and reception hall sessions for at least 3 hours and is the most popular option. Please contact us to assist you in choosing the right package.
Corporate Package
A corporate package is straight forward, a standard pricing plan. Please contact us to fine tune your booking.
Tailor your Package
Grace Periods
With the exception of a wedding Canapé Activation, a grace period is offered to a wedding Duo Activation when (A) the artist's workstation is transferred from the canapé area to the reception hall and, (B) during speeches for which one-hour is offered free.
Corporate bookings are offered a grace period of one-hour during speeches.

Free Time
Standard Booking Terms
The booking duration is dependant on the venue distance factor. Please click here for clarification.
If the date is available for a booking, a minimum deposit payment of 50% of the grand total is required to secure the booking. Banking details and payment terms appear on quotations and invoices. A payment is required to be done on a quotation and an invoice will follow payment. Balances are to be settled in full a week before the date of the event.
A payment receipt, updated invoice and a booking confirmation letter will be issued shortly after the initial payment is received.

Venue Distance Factor
The booking duration is dependant on the venue distance factor which means that there is a minimum booking requirement based on the distance between the event venue's location and our base in Johannesburg South, as follows:

0 km – 25 km: A minimum booking of 1 hour required.

26 km - 50 km: A minimum booking of 2 hours required.

51 km – 100 km: A minimum booking of 3 hours required.

101 km – 150 km: A minimum booking of 3,5 hours required.

151 km – 250 km: A minimum booking of 4 hours required.

251 km - 350 km: A minimum booking of 4,5 hours required.

351 km - plus: A minimum booking of 5 hours required.
